It’s hard to believe that there are just a few more weeks of winter! When I tell people that we haven’t shot a wedding since December, everyone always wonders what we do during the off-season. Well, we haven’t been twiddling our thumbs, that’s for sure, ha! I’ve been busy designing albums, revamping workflows, implementing some new tools and software for this year, working on our new associate photographer program, coaching photographers, hosting a workshop, co-facilitating a mastermind group with my wedding planner and friend Jeanne from Bogath Events, and working on an upcoming course I’m launching for photographers and creatives soon. So much! Jay has been super busy with his own projects, too, so there has been a lot happening around here. I’ve also been focusing on my health and fitness a lot and training for a half marathon next month which I’m super excited about! I’m also getting realllllly excited for our wedding season to start up again because we’re looking forward to so many beautiful weddings this year!
Our wedding season this year is treating us well by allowing us to slowly ease into shooting. We’re starting off with just one March wedding in a couple of weeks, then three weeks off before the next one. Then in April we have 4 weddings but there’s a double header in there so we aren’t shooting every weekend. May is the oddball month! We are only shooting one wedding that month, which is kind of rare for us since we are usually quite busy in May. But I’m not complaining because it’s my birthday month and we hope to be able to go away for a couple of weeks at the end of the month because once our May break is over, we’re hitting the ground running with 10 weekends straight of weddings starting in June! Eeek! It’s going to be an amazing year with over 30 fabulous weddings this year!
