Last Saturday we had the honor of capturing the wedding of Melissa and Justin. These two newlyweds went to school together since the 5th grade, but their paths didn’t cross until they were in high school when Melissa became friends with Justin’s twin sister. Their wedding day was long-awaited and we were so happy to be a part of it. We first met Melissa and Justin at their Spring Lake engagement session and we knew right away that they’d be a pleasure to work with. They’re the kind of couple that is incredibly easy-going and their relaxed approach to the day made the day go so smoothly! Even when there was a threat of rain, Melissa and Justin were calm, and they were rewarded with the most beautiful day! It poured during their ceremony but it didn’t matter because as soon as they had said their I Do’s, the sun had come out and we had the most perfect afternoon for their church exit and portrait session.
After their traditional church ceremony, we headed to Cross Estate Gardens for their wedding photos. This is one of our very favorite portrait locations – you’ll see why when you see the gorgeous gardens we had the pleasure of shooting in. When it was time for the reception, we headed over to Meadow Wood Manor where Melissa and Justin were able to enjoy their entire cocktail hour before celebrating with their family and friends at the reception. The dance floor was full all evening so it was exactly the type of event we love to photograph! So many fun and candid moments!
