Spring Wedding at the Jersey Shore

It’s hard to believe that we first heard of Kate almost three years ago. A photographer herself, she found us back in 2015 when helping her sister Sue find a photographer for her own wedding. These two have the best relationship – they make any girl wish she had a sister as caring and loving as both of these women and we have loved following along on their journeys. Needless to say, we were thrilled when Kate got engaged herself less than a year after her sister’s wedding! It has been such a pleasure getting to know these ladies, their now husbands, and their families, too. Lucky us, we get to see them all again in three months for Kate and Sue’s cousin’s wedding!! What an amazing time for this family – so many weddings in a short time!

The Wedding Day

After such crazy weather this winter and spring, we were so relieved to see that the forecast for Kate and Gabe’s wedding day called for mid to high 70’s. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day. Kate got ready in Spring Lake with all the special ladies in her life while Gabe got ready at the Berkeley Hotel in Asbury Park. With a ceremony at St. Catharine’s Church in Spring Lake, portraits on the Asbury Park Boardwalk, and a reception at The Channel Club, this was a classic Jersey Shore wedding that included so many of our favorite shore spots. We had so many photo ops throughout the day, but I think the best photo op we had was actually when it came time for Kate and Gabe’s first dance. They threw everyone for a loop when they broke out in a choreographed dance routine! We were so impressed and everyone loved it!
