Princeton University Chapel & Park Chateau Wedding Katherine and John

Weddings

Last Sunday we had the honor of capturing Katherine and John’s wedding day at two of our favorite locations: Princeton University and Park Chateau Estate and Gardens! Katherine and John met while they were students at Princeton University so it was perfectly fitting for them to center their wedding day plans around the university chapel and campus where they have plenty of memories of the first couple of years of their relationship.

Katherine and John met at Cloister, one of Princeton’s eating clubs, during their junior year of college. They hit it off right away and just four years after graduating, they returned to the campus to tie the knot! They had a traditional ceremony at the Princeton University Chapel followed by an Orthodox Christian Blessing at Dodge Hall before taking advantage of the campus grounds for their wedding portraits. It was a hot day but these two were troopers and wanted to make sure they incorporated some of their favorite spots, including Prospect Gardens, which was a new discovery for us. We’ve shot on the campus countless times but it was our first time in these spectacular gardens and it’s our new favorite campus spot!

After their portrait session on campus, Katherine and John headed to their Park Chateau Estate and Gardens wedding reception. Upon arrival, these newlyweds couldn’t wait to spend some time with family and friends but we managed to squeeze in a few more minutes of portrait time on the venue grounds before heading to cocktail hour. The rest of the evening was full of fun moments – from a fun entrance to a choreographed first dance to a surprise father-daughter dance to a fun photo booth and Hawaiian leis for all the guests at the end of the night, this reception couldn’t have been any more perfect and really showed off the personalities of our couple.

Congratulations to Katherine and John! We hope you’ve already started to relax in the Hawaiian sand and sun. Good luck to John with his first surfing attempts and enjoy your hiking and long drives on the Road to Hana!
