Caitlin and Jesse were all smiles on the day of their session. These two have the best smiles, too!! And they have reason to smile big because they are SO close to their wedding date! In just a couple weeks they’ll be just SIX months away from their big day!! These months are going fly by and we’re so excited for them. They’re getting married at Clark’s Landing Yacht Club in Point Pleasant so we’re already looking forward to taking their photos out by the water. It’s going to be beautiful! Spring Lake NJ Engagement Photos
Kate: “I was sitting on the couch on a Friday night, in my pj’s and got a text from my friend asking me to come have a drink. I insisted on staying home, but she was persistent. So I went, and Jesse was there. The rest is history.”
Jesse: “We met in Seaside Heights through mutual friends. I bought her a Coors Light and talked her up. After a while, I was able to get her number!”
How they knew they had found the one
Kate: “3 years ago I got into a bad accident, rolling my car on the parkway. I was taken to the hospital by ambulance, and was strapped down with a neck brace. I remember laying there, scared to know what kind of condition I was in. We arrived at the hospital, the doors opened and the first familiar voice I heard said ‘Hey Frecks’ (my nickname) as Jesse jumped in the ambulance. Never in my life had I felt more comforted by such simple words. In that moment, I knew.”
Jesse: “I knew she was the one after we got some time alone to talk and get to know each other. I would think about her all day and had to refrain from calling and texting her. I didn’t want to scare her off.”
Kate: “Jesse and I had plans to see a concert in Atlantic City and spend the night. We were meeting my family & friends there, but he had booked us our own room. After getting ready, we headed over to meet my family in their room. He opened the door and there was no one in there. All I saw were balloons and flower petals. At first, I was confused. Then I looked in the corner and saw a huge ‘WILL YOU MARRY ME?’ balloon and my legs almost gave out from under me! He got down on one knee and with shaky hands and a stuttered speech, he asked me the best question I’ve ever been asked. And of course, I said YES!”
Jesse: “The proposal was a nerve wrecking experience for me. I wanted it to be special, but also personal. With the help of friends and family, I was able to do it before a concert in Atlantic City with a bunch of balloons, a cake and some champagne.”
Kate: “I love that he makes everyday better for me. Even on the worst day, knowing you have someone who loves you and is going to be there is the best feeling. And I found that in Jesse.”
Jesse: “I love everything about her. But what really stands out to me is that she can make me laugh like no one else I’ve ever met, even when I’m mad.”
Kate: “I can’t wait for the church doors to open and to see Jesse at the end of the aisle. I’ve dreamed about that my whole life!”
Jesse: “The one thing I’m looking forward to is seeing her in her dress. And celebrating with all our friends and family. And the beer!”
Kate: “I had been hinting to Jesse for a while about what kind of ring I wanted. We’d walk by jewelry stores in the mall, and I’d say “let’s just take a quick look!”. So when the time came, he kinda knew what I wanted. And it is PERFECT! I still catch myself staring at how sparkly it is. The man knows his diamonds… who knew?!”
Jesse: “The ring was tough and took a long time to get right. But Kate told me what features she wanted and I think it’s perfect for her.”
