Greek Wedding at South Gate Manor

If you’ve never been to a Greek wedding, you need to get yourself invited to one because they are the absolute liveliest events! As soon as I arrived at Karen’s parents’ home, I knew it was going to be a fun day. Karen’s father and a couple of her brothers were at the edge of their seats as they watched the World Cup, her bridesmaids were scattered throughout the house getting ready for the big day, and her mother and Godmother were making sure everyone had what they needed. It was quite a full house and I loved all the energy everyone gave off as they welcomed Karen’s wedding day with open arms. When it came time for the ceremony, Bill was waiting for her at her family’s church for their traditional Greek Orthodox ceremony and the church was packed! Everyone wanted to witness these two tie the knot!

After the ceremony, we headed to Monmouth University for their portrait session and we had the most perfect weather. Spring this year was a little challenging in terms of weather so we were so thankful for the idyllic day we had! Karen and Bill had built lots of time into their schedule for their photos so I loved the relaxed vibe. It’s always so nice when there is time for our couple to focus on each other and enjoy being alone for the first time on their wedding day. Well, with photographers and videographers in tow, ha!

When it was time to celebrate the newlyweds, we made our way to South Gate Manor and the dance floor was never empty. There were so many guests and so much dancing!! Karen and Bill were on the dance floor all night long – I only saw them sit down for toasts and dinner! And you know when the bride and groom are on the dance floor, everyone is on the dance floor!
