2021 Wedding Color Ideas + Inspiration Trendy Wedding Colors for Each Season

Tips for Brides

Picking the perfect color scheme for your wedding can depend on several factors, including the season in which the wedding will take place and your personal preference. With that, there are countless color schemes to choose from that work for every season of the year.

When picking out your wedding colors, keep in mind how you will want to use them. Whether it be the matching bridesmaid dresses, table assortments, or flower bouquets, a plan is helpful. If you need some inspiration, we went ahead and selected our top trendy wedding colors for each season to help you get started with your inspiration board for your wedding.

Springtime Pinks

Nothing says springtime more than light floral pinks. This color is very versatile. It can be paired with many other complementary colors, like sage, berry pink, lavender, and even bright turquoise.

For an inspiration board for this color, use pastel pinks for the bridesmaid’s dresses. This is also a great color to use for the flower arrangements on the tables, with a mix of pink and cream roses with added greenery. You can also do the same for the bride’s flower bouquet, which will bring a delicate touch to your bridal look. Check out this pink-themed wedding for more inspiration!

Summer Blues

We are loving the trend of blues in summer weddings, as the color will shine wherever it is used. You can easily pair blues with cream, blush pink, gold, or light gray. If you are not afraid of a bit of color, bright turquoise and aqua are fun colors to sprinkle throughout your wedding party. Use them in the groomsmen’s ties, the bridesmaid’s dresses, and even the bride’s shoes.

Balance the blues with greenery wherever you can, including the flower arrangements on the tables and the bridal bouquet. A unique twist to add in the flower arrangements is mini succulents. These pair nicely with a variety of flowers and match the season. If you want to go for a non-traditional white wedding cake, look into a turquoise marbled tiered cake for an elegant change. Check out this wedding that incorporated plenty of blues, as well as the inspiration board below for more ideas!

Fall Greenery

Although a wedding with greenery can fit almost every other season, it is ideal in the autumn season. Whether you opt for a sage green or a rich forest green, you can balance it with bright creams or light yellows. Don’t forget about greys, or even royal blue, too.

There is no limit on what you can use this color for in your wedding inspiration board. Of course, it is ideal to incorporate plenty of greenery in the flower arrangements. This ranges from the bridal bouquet to even a greenery archway in the wedding ceremony. This particular wedding used sage green for the bridesmaid dresses and royal blue for the groomsmen ties to balance the color scheme.

Winter Whites and Champagne

Whites and champagne are the ideal color scheme for a winter wedding to mimic the fall of new snow. These luxurious colors can be paired with gold and greenery to create a rustic but traditional look to the wedding. If you are still deciding on wedding venues, look into venues with plenty of natural woods and an open floor plan. This will help to balance the brightness of the color scheme.

For ideas using this color scheme, the more simple the better. While the bride will typically be wearing white, the bridesmaids can match with champagne-toned dresses. Keep the flower arrangements simple with bundles of cream flowers and touches of greenery. Add in gold accents on the table settings and wedding invitations to bring a tone of elegance to the event.
