It seems that something all of our brides have in common is that they love pretty detail photos! And, if I’m being honest, photographing all the things that make your wedding unique is one of my favorite parts of the day! I love to photograph all the special items as soon as I arrive at the getting ready location because it allows me to really get to know the personality of the wedding. Plus I get to re-live that feeling of wedding day anticipation all over again! To help you get the wedding details photos you dream of, here are 10 tips for swoon-worthy wedding details.
Make sure your florals have been delivered by the time your photographer arrives. This way, your photographer can use your bouquets and boutonnieres to enhance your wedding details. If your florist is nervous about delivering the florals early make sure you have the photographer keep the bouquets in water when they’re not being photographed.
I absolutely love when our brides have loose flowers set aside for their detail shots! Adding a single stem or even some greenery adds such dimension, color, and softness to an image. Plan ahead and have your florist deliver single stem flowers with your wedding florals.
Do you have a cute ring box for your engagement ring? Remember to pack it! There’s nothing like a pretty ring box to show off your bling! To purchase a ring box, check Etsy or visit The Mrs Box and The Family Joolz.

Bonus points if you get enough ribbon for your florist to use on your bride and bridesmaid bouquets!
From pretty brooches to unique pins and heirloom lace, enhancing your bridal bouquet is always a lovely idea!

Custom calligraphy will be sure to make your wedding timeless and classic right from the moment your guests lay eyes on them.
Full invitation suite
Be sure to save a full invitation suite for your photographer. That includes your invite as well as accommodations and RSVP card. Bonus points if you include an envelope liner!
Hotel rooms and bridal suites don’t typically have swoon-worthy hangers around so think ahead and include a wooden hanger for your dress shots.
Make sure you get ready in a location with gorgeous natural light! Stuck in a hotel room with orange color casts or tungsten lighting? Don’t be surprised if your photographer leaves with all your details to photograph them in another location.
And there you have it! I cannot wait to see your swoon-worthy wedding day details!!
