Spring Lake Wedding Photographer - NJ Wedding Photographer

Olivia and Ryan were just engaged in December but they’re already well into the planning stages of their wedding planning! I met up with them for their engagement session in Spring Lake a couple of weeks ago and had so much fun getting to know these two. They’re planning a wedding at Clarks Landing Yacht Club for next April and I already know it’s going to be beautiful!

For their engagement session, I met up with Olivia and Ryan at Divine Park. We started the session in a beautiful spot overlooking the lake and one of the park bridges. It was such a beautiful day and I just loved the soft light we had. Once we had spent some time at a couple of other spots in the park, we headed over to the beach and Olivia and Ryan had a bottle of champagne for some fun toast photos. It turned out to be one of my favorite parts of the session! These two are such naturals in front of the camera – I can’t wait to work with them again in less than a year!

How they met

“We met through mutual friends on a Halloween boat cruise on the Hudson River. I was dressed as Cruella De Vil and Ryan was Superman.”

Their first date

“We went to a sushi restaurant in Asbury for our first date. Ryan ordered meatloaf…definitely memorable.”

The proposal

“We were on vacation on California when Ryan proposed. On our drive from Napa to Monterey, we stopped at an overlook of the Golden Gate Bridge. Ryan, who brings all of his photo and video gadgets everywhere, was setting up his new mini tripod to take a “picture” with the Golden Gate Bridge behind us. That picture wound up being a beautiful video of Ryan proposing. Although Ryan didn’t originally plan on proposing at that location, when all of the people seemed to walk away, Ryan felt like the timing was perfect. It was also convenient that he had the ring in his backpack.”

All about the ring

“Ryan picked out the ring completely by himself! He said that he had a vision of exactly what he wanted it to look like and I couldn’t love it more!”

One thing they love about each other

“I love that Ryan brings positivity to every situation and has a passion for adventure and travel.”

“I love that Olivia is the most genuinely nice person I’ve ever met. She always means well and thinks about others/me.”

Their wedding

“We are getting married on April 3, 2020 at Clark’s Landing in Point Pleasant, New Jersey. We are looking forward to celebrating our love on that day with the people that mean the most to us.”
