Today I’m going to introduce you to Jeanne, owner of Bogath Weddings and Events. She was the bride who, a few weeks before her wedding, sent me a detailed “Top Secret Order of Events” and I remember responding “You need to get into wedding planning.” It was the best timeline I had ever seen. I like to think that I planted a little seed in her head that day, but I think Jeanne was being pulled into wedding planning long before I even suspected she’d be amazing at it. But before I get into that part of this post, I thought I’d share a little recap of Jeanne and Richie’s wedding day!
It was exactly one year ago when I pulled up to the Ram’s Head Inn, ready to photograph Jeanne and Rich’s wedding day. Jeanne had talked to me about all the details she had planned for her wedding day and I couldn’t wait to see everything come together. They had chosen the perfect venue for their wedding, which I like to describe as rustic chic with a touch of vintage.
When I arrived, she had all her details laid out for me. From the gorgeous wedding invitation to ring boxes and styling moss, she had thought of everything.
It was the first time I was meeting Richie and I immediately saw why Jeanne was head over heels over him. He spent the morning making sure everyone else had what they needed, ensuring everything was in place, and doing everything he could to make Jeanne a happy bride. The morning was a hustle and bustle but amidst all the organized chaos that is a typical wedding day, I couldn’t help but notice all the little reasons why these two are a perfect match. I was so happy for these two and incredibly excited that the weather was perfect for their wedding day. It was the perfect temperature and when it came time for portraits we found a spot with my favorite light ever. Backlighting with a natural reflector in front? A photographer’s dream!
Their ceremony was held inside the Ram’s Head Inn and friends of theirs officiated their ceremony in a beautifully lit room that was the perfect setting for the rustic chic DIY wedding Jeanne and Rich had planned.
Everywhere I turned that day, there were special displays and DIY elements that gave so much character to Jeanne and Rich’s wedding day. One of my favorite discoveries that day was the seating card and guest book table full of personalized details and chalkboard signs.
And check out the gorgeous ballroom! I just love how well Jeanne’s wedding details coordinated with her venue. She planned everything perfectly and really put together a cohesive wedding design.
Mason jar and hurricane lamp centerpieces? Yes, please! (To see how she made these check out this post: DIY Wedding Centerpieces)
Here are a few details that show how thoughtful Jeanne and Richie are. They put together a fabulous kid’s table complete with fun t-shirt favors and activity books!
Jeanne and Richie planned a beautiful wedding day and everything was amazingly perfect. I had so much fun capturing this wedding day, not only because I was so happy to see Jeanne marry the love of her life, but because it was the type of wedding that inspired me in many ways. Witnessing Jeanne’s creativity was one of my favorite aspects of the day, but the way she incorporated Richie into every single detail made all the difference. I love how attentive to detail she was without allowing herself to get carried away. In the end, the wedding was beautiful, but the most important part, the marriage, was the focus of the day. It couldn’t have been more perfect!
Not too long after that, Jeanne told me that she wanted to chat about her idea. I was so excited to hear that she was considering becoming a wedding planner. I couldn’t think of a more perfect person to take on this endeavor! Not only is she amazingly creative and super organized, but she has the best sense of humor and friendly disposition. This is why it comes as not surprise that her wedding planning business, Bogath Weddings and Events, has had incredible success in just one year. What started out as an idea has become a wonderful source of joy for not only her, but also for many brides and grooms. I was lucky enough to work with her several times this year at a few of our weddings and events (including Jay’s sister’s wedding!) and I’m so excited for her business to continue to grow. Jeanne creates an incredible experience for her brides, offering a myriad of services that allow her brides to relax and enjoy their wedding while Jeanne makes sure that everything goes off without a hitch. If you’re looking for a wedding planner, and particularly an LBI Wedding Planner, Jeanne is your girl.
So today, on her one year wedding anniversary, I wanted to send her some vendor love to show her how happy I am that she went from being a friend to becoming one of our brides to now being one of my very favorite industry friends. She’s a perfect example of what happens when you do what you love and you are dedicated to making it happen. Congratulations, Jeanne, on your first year of marriage and on building a business that continues to inspire me in more ways than you can imagine.
