Today I’m sharing another one of my beautiful fall 2021 weddings! Amanda and Tom were supposed to get married earlier in the year but postponed due to concerns over the pandemic so when their day finally arrived, I think we all breathed a sign of relief that it was actually happening! These two met at a party at Ramapo college. Tom was visiting from another school and Amanda asked to be introduced to the cute guy she hadn’t seen before. They went on their first date at the Grand Luxe Cafe at the Garden State Plaza and, before they knew it, they were engaged to be married.
Stone House at Stirling Ridge Wedding in the Fall
For their wedding, Amanda and Tom picked the Stone House at Stirling Ridge. Weddings at the Stone House at Stirling Ridge are kind of a tradition in this family! Amanda’s parents and one of her sisters got married here before her and Tom, so it was really sweet to be able to see another family married here. Amanda and Tom leaned heavily into the season while choosing a color palette, deciding on dusty pink, olive green and burgundy for the decor. I love the soft mauve furs that Amanda’s bridesmaids wore during some of their photos – it added such a nice touch and really brought the feeling of fall to their color scheme.
On the day of their wedding, Amanda and Tom got ready at the nearby Somerset Hills Hotel before heading to the Stone House for the rest of the day. It was cold that day, but these two were troopers, sharing their first look and doing most of their portraits outdoors. We did take quite a few breaks from the cold, taking advantage of the foyer and wine cellar for some of their photos. When it came time for the ceremony, Amanda and Tom had an evening ceremony outside and it was beautiful to see these two tying the knot in a location that was so meaningful to them. They then celebrated with their loved ones with a big party in the gorgeous ballroom of the Stone House with lots of laughs and plenty of dancing!
Congratulations, Amanda and Tom!! It was such a pleasure to capture your special day! I hope you enjoyed your honeymoon to Hawaii and are now enjoying a quiet winter settling into marriage. So happy for you!
