Michelle and Bryan met when they were in college at Monmouth University. Michelle was just a freshman when Bryan was drafted to play soccer for the the Seattle Sounders… then he was off to Sweden… then to play for the San Jose Earthquakes, then to Vancouver. Through it all, their relationship grew stronger and when he was drafted for the Seattle Sounders again, Michelle took a leap of faith and moved out to the west coast to be with him. A little over two years later, Bryan proposed and these two started planning their wedding in their native NJ. Luckily for me, they found me thanks to Bryan’s sister who I’ve connected with through the years thanks to our mutual love of photography. It was such a pleasure to capture this day for them and their families!
Bear Brook Valley Wedding Day
Michelle and Bryan tied the knot on a frigid December day at the beautiful Bear Brook Valley! It was my first time shooting there and I have to say, I’m so glad these two were such troopers during their portrait session because the grounds at this venue are to die for. This was my last wedding of the year and it was a wonderful way to end 2021. These two brought the winter vibes with an elegant palette of burgundy, peach, and ivory and it all came together so nicely. My favorite part of the day was when Michelle’s parents walked her over to her first look with Bryan. It was the sweetest moment and full of so much emotion, only to be followed by an even more emotional first look. Bryan was so excited to see his beautiful bride!
The ceremony took place inside the stables under a beautiful wooden arch. These two were ready to say their I Do’s and get the party started so the ceremony was short and sweet. After a few family photos, we headed to the cellar for cocktail hour and then up to the ballroom for the lively reception and everyone danced the night away.
Michelle and Bryan, you did it! I’m sure it was no easy feat planning a wedding from out-of-state but everything was beautiful and perfect! Thank you for allowing me to capture your special day – it was an honor and a pleasure. Enjoy settling into your new life in Nashville!
