St. James Church Red Bank NJ Wedding

We loved being part of Taylor and Nicholas’s wedding day in Red Bank, New Jersey. With about 140 of their closest people gathered around them, the day was equal parts classic and personal — the kind of celebration that feels like a true reflection of the couple at its center.

The day began with a full mass at St. James Church, a place that already holds deep meaning for this family. There is something so moving about a ceremony in a church filled with generations of loved ones, and every detail of their service reflected their faith and the community that raised them.

These two first met at Gettysburg College, so naturally they wanted a photo waving a college banner with their wedding party — a fun nod to where their story began. Taylor’s maid of honor was her twin sister, which made the morning portraits especially sweet. And their palette of sage green with hints of blue felt perfectly at home at their reception: rich greens echoing the golf course, soft blues nodding to the nearby coastal waters.

We loved photographing at Navesink Country Club. Between the manicured fairways, the clock tower, waterfront portraits with her veil catching the wind, and a ride on the venue’s red trolley, it was a perfect playground for portraits — and a true honor to document, from the first look through the cake cutting. We are so grateful they trusted our team with it all.

One of our favorite details: the cake cutter, a piece of Waterford Crystal that has graced the groom’s family weddings for generations — his parents, grandparents, and cousins all used it before them. Continuing that tradition made the cake cutting one of the sweetest moments of a day that also brought a packed dance floor and one very memorable martini on the staircase.
