Melissa and John met while both swimming for Loyola University Maryland. John was a Junior when Melissa joined as a freshman, but they didn’t start dating until two years later. They had their first date at Chipotle and before they knew it, they had been dating for seven years and John decided it was time to pop the question! He proposed to Melissa in Central Park – you can read about the beautiful and memorable proposal here – and they started planning their fall wedding at one of my favorite venues, Park Chateau Estate.
Romantic Park Chateau Estate Wedding
From the start, Melissa and John knew that they wanted a big fall wedding to celebrate with their friends and family. Once they toured Park Chateau Estate for the first time, they just had that gut feeling that they’d found the place they were going to celebrate their wedding. They brought their fall wedding vision to life (with the help of an incredible vendor team) by bringing white, gold, and burgundy details to Park Chateau and it came together beautifully.
I love the heartfelt and personal touches they added to the day, like wedding invitations by Melissa’s mother, matching robes not just for the bridesmaids but for the moms, aunts, and grandmas, and of course a first look with their dog Piper. Not to mention, I also loved that they left plenty of time for photos and we had time for portraits both outdoors and indoors throughout the chateau – a photographer’s dream! I have so many favorites from this day – hopefully I don’t crash my blog with the size of this post!
Melissa and John, what an honor it was to capture your wedding! All your planning was worth it – every detail came together beautifully! Your wedding album is going to require two volumes, for sure, ha! I hope you enjoy your honeymoon in Antigua and are loving getting settled into your new life together as husband and wife.
