Custom Wedding Invitations & Stationery Tips for Brides

Personal

Custom Wedding Invitations and StationeryIt’s here:  a post about our custom wedding invitations and stationery!  Now that Jay and I are married (it’ll be 3 months in just 2 days!) I’ve been missing all the wedding planning a bit.  Call me crazy but I truly enjoyed every aspect of wedding planning from start to finish!  Of course, I had a lot of help, so I thought I’d share some of our wedding details to introduce you to NVS Events and maybe inspire all you upcoming brides to opt for custom wedding invitations and stationery.  All of the details were designed by NVS Events so if you like their stuff, definitely check them out for all of your party, event, and wedding details.  They are absolutely amazing!

First up is our invitation.  We wanted to incorporate a travel theme to our wedding details and we thought a vintage passport would be the perfect way.  We sent over our ideas to NVS Events and they came up with this gorgeous passport in our wedding colors that included tons of information for our guests to have in one single location.

Inside we had our wedding day schedule and hotel information, among other wedding details for the guests. And of course we had to include some basic Italian words and phrases!

The last page in the passport invitation was a tear out RSVP card with a customized stamp that I made on Zazzle.com using our wedding logo designed by NVS Events.  The passport then fit perfectly into little boxes that we decorated with authentic vintage Italian stamps that I bought on ebay.  We wrapped the boxes in brown kraft paper and NVS Events made address labels for the outer packaging.
Father John, the priest who married us, required that the entire script of our wedding ceremony be printed into a booklet.  When I found this out only a couple of weeks before the wedding I never thought I’d be able to make it happen.  Luckily, NVS Events came to the rescue and managed to not only print the entire script of the mass into booklet form but they even had them match all of the other items.  Notice a bit of Shakespeare on the back of our programs, a special touch added by Jay.

Once at the Reception, we had matching menus at every setting and NVS Events also designed adorable tags for our traditional Italian wedding confetti favors, a special gift from a dear friend of mine.

For after the ceremony we had fans made, for keeping our guests cool during the sightseeing tour of Rome and highlighting the sites we were planning to visit. Unfortunately we forgot them at the hotel on the day of the wedding so we didn’t get to use them… not everything can go as planned.  They sure make for a nice keepsake, anyway!  On the back we added fun facts about Italy and Rome. The additional favor tags came in handy for labeling the welcome bags for each of our guests.  I used the same logo design to print on the welcome bags we distributed to the guests upon their arrival in Rome.  The bags were made by BaggedAndLoaded.

In this photo of our full set of stationery you can see the additional invitation we had made (bottom right) for celebrating our wedding with friends and family once we returned home. The party was to be a backyard affair so we wanted the invitations to have a light and fun feel to them.  I love how the ladies at NVS Events combined our travel theme in these invitations and made them match all of the other wedding details. And yes, they made my groom Asian! :-)

And last but not least, a very special group of ladies surprised me with these adorable favors at my bridal shower.  This little jar is so cute that I can’t bare to eat the M&Ms; in it, which are hard to resist since they are my absolute favorite candies. Maybe I’ll open it in honor of my official name change after I get my marriage certificate from Rome and can finally complete the process!

Oh, and not pictured here is a letterhead that NVS Events made for us.  We used it to distribute wedding day details pre-trip and also to write our welcome letter to our guests for when they arrived in Rome.  So there you go, folks!  I can’t recommend NVS Events enough.  They listened to all of our needs and really came through with a collection of items that fit our day perfectly.   They are creative and professional and will help you achieve the vision you have for your event. Don’t forget to tell them I sent you! For more Tips for Brides click here. Happy Wedding Planning!!
