Vibrant Hindu Ashford Estate Wedding

We knew Alexandra and Sachin’s wedding day was going to be something special from the moment they inquired — a full Hindu ceremony at Ashford Estate, a baraat complete with a rickshaw, and 181 guests dressed in vibrant Indian attire in the couple’s wedding colors of green and orange. It did not disappoint.

The baraat was a highlight. It made its joyful way from the parking lot to the entrance of the estate, where parents greeted him with a traditional ritual. Guests found programs and mini gift bags at their seats before an hour-long Hindu ceremony beneath a beautifully dressed mandap in the ballroom.

Some of our favorite frames from the day came from the varmaala, the exchange of garlands, and the saptapadi — the seven steps, each sealed with its own vow, where Alexandra and Sachin wove in their own personal vows. The day was layered with heirlooms: the groom’s wedding band belonged to his grandfather, and the mangal sutra Sachin tied around Alexandra’s neck was his grandmother’s necklace.

Ashford Estate is one of those venues we love returning to — the manicured grounds, the gazebo, and that grand estate backdrop photograph beautifully in every light, and it gave us endless settings for portraits between the ceremony’s joyful energy and the party that followed.

The celebration continued with a grand entrance, first dance, parent dances, and a reception packed with five heartfelt speeches and four choreographed dance performances — plus a cake cutting and bouquet toss to keep the energy high all night. Two five-year-old ring bearers stole more than a few hearts along the way.

Alexandra and Sachin, thank you for trusting our team with a day so full of color, tradition, and joy — it was an honor to document every moment.
