Happy one week married to Nicole and Joel! After meeting these newlyweds last year for their fall Princeton engagement photos, I knew their wedding was going to be full of raw emotion, beautiful details, and classic elegance. I was 100% right because Nicole and Joel’s gorgeous Palace at Somerset fall wedding included all of these things, and more.
These two have known each other since they were kids, but really started hanging out in high school. Joel surprised Nicole with an incredible Magic Kingdom proposal in their favorite place, Disney World, and then they began to plan their own fairytale day. Taking inspiration from their favorite Disney love stories, they envisioned a classic wedding day to celebrate their first day as husband and wife and chose The Palace at Somerset Park as their venue. It was a perfect location for their wedding. From the beautiful grounds for their portraits to the elegant staircase as a backdrop for their ceremony to the high ceilings and elegant chandeliers for their jaw-dropping reception, every detail was perfect. Not to mention their fall color palette of burgundy, peach, blush, and gold, which brought together Nicole and Joel’s wedding day beautifully.
My favorite part of the day is tied between Nicole and Joel’s emotional first look and their amazing reception complete with La Hora Loca performers that created such a fun ambiance at their reception. This was definitely a wedding for the books and a great way to close out my November weddings!
Nicole and Joel, your wedding day was truly epic! There were so many details and little surprises throughout the day that made this wedding so fun to be a part of. Plus that first look goes down as one of the best ones I’ve had the honor of witnessing. I wish you a lifetime of moments like that where you love each other fiercely and cannot wait to spend the rest of your lives together. Congratulations and enjoy the rest of that wonderful Disney honeymoon. I’m sure the Polynesian is absolutely magical – enjoy every minute!
