Wedding in Princeton NJ

Nassau Inn Wedding Jill and Ross

Weddings

Last Saturday we had the pleasure of capturing Jill and Ross’s wedding day in downtown Princeton. These two were just engaged last August but they planned their wedding in less than a year and here they are, married already! We couldn’t be happier for these two, and when you see them in the images below you’ll see that they couldn’t be happier either. These two love to smile and laugh. They literally didn’t stop smiling all day long! I just love how happy they are – their joy is truly contagious and you won’t be able to help but smile too when you see this recap of their wedding. We’re so thankful that our past couple Ashley and Johnny referred them to us – we just loved working with them!

Jill and Ross are two of the sweetest people we’ve ever worked with so it comes as no surprise that they were so thoughtful when choosing their wedding location . Jill’s family grew up in PA, and is now scattered between PA and NY while Ross’s family is scattered between NY and NJ. This leaves Princeton right in-between and perfectly convenient for all their friends and family. It was the perfect location for their wedding.

On the day of Jill and Ross’s wedding the forecast called for rain starting at the very time we had scheduled their first look. Jay and I were a teensy bit nervous because even though we had our stock of clear umbrellas and plenty of coverage on the Princeton University campus, we weren’t sure how willing our couple and their bridal party would be to walk in the rain before the ceremony. Luckily, Jill said she trusted us to make it work and was all for giving it a shot and she was rewarded with skies that stayed dry for almost their entire portrait session! We were able to capture photos for these two at several of our favorite Princeton locations and we were so thankful for Jill and Ross’s relaxed approach to the day because it was thanks to them that we were able to make these images happen! We seriously have the best couples!

Jill and Ross had a traditional Jewish ceremony under the most gorgeous chuppah. Wait until you see the florals!! I have to say though that I think my favorite part of this wedding was during the reception when Ross surprised Jill by serenading her with a moving rendition of Ben Folds’s “The Luckiest” with accompaniment from his brother on guitar. Can we say sweet?

Jill and Ross, your wedding was perfect!! We truly loved being a part of it and are so happy the day went off without a hitch for you guys! We hope your trip to Europe is a blast – Paris, Nice, Rome, and Positano – those are some of our very favorite European destinations… what a dream trip!
