Last weekend, our associate photographer Jocelyn shot one of our most anticipated wedding days this year! Carter and Richard’s love story is utterly romantic and I just could not wait to see them as a bride and groom. They’re both ice dancers and met when Richard came over from England to have tryouts with twelve difference ice dancers. Carter was among them, and she got to be the lucky one. Not only was she Richard’s pick for his ice-dancing partner, but she also ended up meeting her future husband that day. They skated together for about a year before they started dating and skated with each other for another four years! If you’re into ice dancing, you should check out this video. These two are just so graceful.
But about their wedding day! Carter and Richard’s stunning wedding was a dream come true! These two knew from the start that they wanted their wedding to be on Long Beach Island. They also knew they wanted to have a comfortable wedding day for their guests that was elegant, yet still had the beach feel that they each love so much. As two beach lovers, it was important they created a wedding day that reflected their favorite place to be. I’m not surprised they chose Brant Beach Yacht Club because this venue had everything they wanted, not to mention an amazing sunset for everyone to enjoy during the reception.
Carter and Richard’s wedding day vision came from classical and traditional weddings. They chose a navy blue and blush theme for their day and it was perfect for a late summer wedding on LBI. With the help of our dear friend Jeanne of Bogath Wedding and Events, they planned a day that reflected this couple perfectly and I’m so excited for you to see it on my blog today.
