The Couple

Initially, Ninni and Scott knew of each other from high school where they had mutual friends. While they never spoke to each other back then, Ninni appeared as a suggested friend on Scott’s Facebook, so he sent her a message. As they say, timing is everything and these two hit it off. Scott proposed on top of the highest peak in NY state, Mount Marcy outside of Lake Placid, and they were married last Saturday during a beautiful lakeside wedding at Lake Valhalla.

Their Wedding Day

Both Ninni and Scott love the outdoors so they knew they wanted to have their wedding near a body of water. They loved the rustic yet elegant feel they could create at Lake Valhalla, and Ninni, being Swedish, wanted the day to feel like a formal midsummer party with lots of florals and greens. I loved their vision for their wedding day and their attention to detail. One of my favorite aspects of their wedding was the fact that they included several special items, such as a memorial table for all fallen soldiers and police officers, put together by Scott, a Marine and police officer, and in lieu of favors they donated to K9s for Warriors. I also have to mention that Scott arrived to the ceremony in the most unique way possible – on a boat! He shocked everyone by channelling his inner George Washington crossing the Delaware and getting off the boat with his and Ninni’s pup in his arms! Ninni and Scott headed off to Sweden for a second wedding and we couldn’t be happier for them as they embark on this new adventure! Congratulations, Ninni and Scott!!
