Back when I was still teaching I would often hear about so many amazing photography-related events, but could rarely attend them. So when I left teaching almost four months ago, I was excited to finally be able to attend educational events, make new industry friends, and be inspired by other creatives. Yesterday was my first of three fall photography events that I’ll be attending over the next month and it was incredibly inspiring. I chose the RISE Workshop because it included four speakers that I had never met before but that are all doing wonderful things in the industry. I headed to Upstate NY on Tuesday evening and stayed with a friend I made at the Creative at Heart Conference last year. It was wonderful to re-connect and talk shop on the eve of the workshop! In the morning I took a scenic drive to the Historic Barns of Nipmoose in Buskirk, NY and the views were absolutely stunning. Fall is finally here and the colors are gorgeous, friends!
The RISE Workshop schedule included four amazing speakers: Tiffany Wayne, Makayla Jade of The Harris Company, Jen Olmstead of Tonic Site Shop, and Erica Powell of Reverie Gallery. It was a full day of learning and of course I soaked it all in and enjoyed every minute. After the workshop there was a styled shoot by Alyssa Thiel from Parris Chic Boutique. Alyssa’s shop is located right in Allentown, NJ and is full of gorgeous home and wedding decor – definitely stop by if you’re ever in the area, or check out the online shop.
