This post has been a long time coming! Jay and I celebrated our sixth anniversary back in June but we postponed celebrating until August when we had a short break from weddings *and* we would also be celebrating the end of our first trimester. Originally, we had planned to just do an anniversary session and try to downplay my little bump but by the time it was time for the shoot, there was no hiding my belly anymore and we were way too excited to be hiding it, anyway! We were just about to announce our pregnancy, too, so the timing couldn’t have been more perfect. In the end, our anniversary session turned into a maternity session celebrating 14 weeks for our little babe and we didn’t mind it one bit!

I’ve been meaning to blog some favorites from our session for several months now but here we are, over three months later and in our 30th week of pregnancy, and I’m just getting around to it now. As they say, “Better late than never!” These images are so very special to us and we’re so excited to share them with you. Not only do they represent six years of wedded bliss, but they also represent the start of our greatest adventure yet. I love that our daughter, Olivia, will see these some day and be able to tell right away how welcome and loved she has been right from the start! I hope they inspire you in some way, too!

A big thank you to Brian of French Grey Photography for capturing these memories for us. We first met Brian when he took our two year anniversary photos in Paris and since then, he’s documented us in Vienna and now Lisbon, too. He’s our official anniversary photographer! To think that next time we see him, we’ll have a little one in tow! Brian, we so appreciate that you flew out from Paris to document us in a new city as we were beginning this new chapter in our lives. We will treasure these images forever and we know our daughter will, too!
