A Change in Our Services

Uncategorized

Change-in-Services-NotificationAs I know many of us do, I am constantly looking to make every opportunity into a learning experience and as a business owner and photographer, I’m constantly striving to grow in order to offer our clients an amazing experience. Photography started out as a hobby for me because I just loved taking pictures. Somehow, and in a short time, this hobby developed into a small business and it’s been a true adventure! Little by little, I started to dabble in many different types of photography and I have loved and appreciated all of these opportunities that have allowed me to document life’s joyous occasions for so many amazing people. However, if you didn’t see it coming already: the time has come for me to focus on our areas of strength.

In the past couple of years I’ve learned that although I love photographing children and families, my true love in photography lies in photographing couples and newborns. Therefore, effective immediately, Idalia Photography will no longer be accepting bookings for children’s and family photography. I will, of course, be honoring our existing commitments to clients who have already booked a children’s or family session through October 2013. However, our areas of focus will now be weddings, engagements, and newborns. We will also be accepting a limited number of maternity sessions for couples who book us for their newborn session.

This was a big decision for me but I’m confident that this will ensure we are able to deliver the best quality images to our clients and this will also allow me to work on some of my own personal projects. I do have good news for my current clients, though! I will be photographing current children and family photography clients on a limited basis by offering mini-sessions twice a year. Summer and fall mini-sessions will be held in one location and will last 20 minutes in length, just enough time to capture your families and little ones to update your family photo and for your holiday cards. To be notified when mini-sessions are scheduled, please subscribe to our newsletter.

From the bottom of my heart, I thank each and every one of our past and current clients. It has been an amazing journey so far and Jay and I are incredibly excited to see what lies ahead!
