Alison and Sean are planning their wedding for next September and I already know time is going to fly by for these two – Sean is completing his residency and Alison is in nursing school so you can imagine how packed their schedules are going to be over the next several months. I’m so glad they were able to get away for an afternoon to capture this amazing time in their lives so that they have these images to remember their engagement by. Right away. From Day 1. We just felt so comfortable together from the start. It was like we had known each for years.
October 29, 2016
The most exciting day of my life. Sean asked me to marry him at about 13,000 feet up in the sky! We both started skydiving in April of 2015 when we first met and both got our license so we could jump solo and with friends. On 10/29/16, we took the plane up to 13.5K as per usual and we had a plan set to jump together along with two of our friends. Once we jumped out and were holding hands in the sky, Sean showed me his hand which said “will you marry me?” I gave him the thumbs up and our friends videotaped the whole thing in the sky. Once we both landed, Sean ran over to me with the ring and got down on one knee and popped the question. It was so special and felt like a dream!
It’s a gorgeous round center diamond with two halos of diamonds.
We just understand each other. We both moved up to Scranton together from Cherry Hill/Philly and have been there for each other. It’s been a tough past couple of years with me having transferred from Drexel’s nursing program in Philly to Marywood’s nursing program in Scranton in January of 2016 so we could be together. So, between him in a surgical podiatry residency and me in nursing school, there have been some stressful times — but we are each other’s rock and always will be. We support each other completely and we’re excited for our future together!
Walking down the aisle toward Sean and toasting to our future and being able to say WE’RE MARRIED!
