Congratulations, Rachel and Bobby! They tied the knot in an elegant fall wedding at The Mill Lakeside Manor (one of my favorite venues!). The newlyweds always knew they wanted their day to feel elegant and classic, a tie between “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” and “Cinderella”. With seasonal flowers, blush pink and white elements, and lot of black in their wedding party, they pulled that elegant feeling off perfectly! When they were planning, Rachel and Bobby fell in love with The Mill Lakeside Manor pretty quickly. It’s a perfect balance of formality and approachability. They both love this beautiful venue and the gorgeous lake and gardens surrounding it. Us, too!
The Mill Lakeside Manor Wedding
On the day of the wedding, Rachel got ready in their apartment clubhouse. It was a great idea because of how spacious the room was. It had tons of natural light, which we loved, and plenty of room for her and her wedding party. Bobby got ready at this grandmother’s house, which was so sweet! I love that they tied in their family from the start of their day. Rachel and Bobby opted to not do a first look together, so instead, we used the time before the ceremony for portraits with their respective wedding parties. Rachel decided to do a first look with her dad and younger brother, too. Both were so fun. I loved seeing her little brother’s reaction! Afterwards, it was time for their ceremony in the gardens of The Mill Lakeside Manor. It’s such a beautiful part of this venue!
Following the ceremony, Rachel and Bobby took their portraits together. They did an hour and a half cocktail hour so they could do photos and still attend some of their cocktail hour with their guests! I LOVE this new trend. I think it’s a great way to get the best of both worlds for our couples. Their reception was a blast. Everyone had a great time dancing, listening to the speeches, and celebrating the newlyweds. Rachel and Bobby used a cake cutter handed down from her grandmother, that’s been used for 2 generations of weddings. That tiny detail was so special to both of them and their families.
