Rachel and Derek were originally planning to have their engagement session in Asbury Park but after Hurricane Sandy hit, we had to pick another location.  We bounced ideas off of each other for a few days and finally came up with what turned out to be the perfect location for their session:  Egan & Sons, the bar where they first met.  It was so great to see how excited they were to return to the very spot where Rachel struck up a conversation about the book Derek was reading that day.  They even brought along the exact book, too, to include in their session!  We truly cannot wait to photograph their wedding this May.  Congratulations, Rachel and Derek!
