Wedding Editorial at The Art Factory Published | Burnett's Boards

Features

Last spring I had the pleasure of collaborating with several local wedding vendors on an editorial shoot at The Art Factory and I’m excited to share that the shoot is being featured today on Burnett’s Boards! The editorial shoot was designed by my wonderful and talented friend Jeanne from Bogath Weddings and Events who drew her inspiration from the former early 19th century silk factory where the photo shoot took place. The Art Factory is a community space where creatives have an opportunity to collaborate and create, and on the day of the shoot, we did just that!

Jeanne dreamt up lots of wedding inspiration that was perfect for the industrial vibe of the location and I was able to make images that are quite different from the style of work I’m used to creating. I tend to look for light backdrops and surfaces in my images, but this shoot challenged me to work in a darker setting and I have to say, I’m loving how it all came together! Jeanne combined the industrial details of the factory with the textures of cement cinder blocks, antique glass light bulbs, and marble place cards with the softer elements of her floral designs. Wait until you see the florals that Jeanne prepared for this shoot! She included tropical Pink Ice Protea, poppy pods, and O’Hara roses to name a few, and it resulted in the most stunning bouquet, center pieces, and floral accents.

You’ll have to head to Jeanne’s blog and read this post to read about all the other details that made this shoot so unique, but check out the images below for a peek at the images we created. When you’re done, click here to see the full feature on Burnett’s Boards.
