When I surveyed the members of my Blogging for Photographers FB group recently, one of the common reasons why they said they didn’t blog consistently was because they didn’t know what to blog about. Well, today I’m hear to tell you that if you’ve identified your ideal client and determined your blog’s purpose, coming up with content will be a walk in the park after a solid brainstorming session (which is actually Day 6 in the challenge!). But how do you make sure that all this content keeps your reader engaged? Well, you vary up how you deliver your content, that’s how. If you’re not sure how to do that, don’t worry, because today I’m sharing 25 ways to vary your blog content. And I may or may not have 10 more ways up my sleeve… but you’ll have to get to the end of the post to find out! Let’s get started! Here are 25 ways to vary your blog content this year:

  1. Announcement Post: Share an upcoming event, giveaway, contest, or release of a new product.
  2. Behind-the-Scenes Post: Share a peek at your process or of yourself while at work.
  3. Best-Of Post: Share highlights from a specific year, event, etc.
  4. Cheat Sheet Post: Share a resource that contains key information about a specific topic.
  5. Checklist Post: A list of items needed for a specific purpose.
  6. Educational Post: Teach your readers something.
  7. Entertaining Post: Share a story that will make your reader laugh or smile.
  8. Favorites Post: Share a list of favorite items, places, events, etc.
  9. Goals Post: Share a few of your goals with your readers.
  10. Guest Post: Invite someone to write content for your blog.
  11. Guide: A comprehensive resource that covers a topic in depth.
  12. How-To Post: An instructional post where you are educating your client.
  13. Infographic: A piece of visual content that presents information.
  14. Informational Post: Tell your readers about a product, service, event, etc.
