The Couple

Alexis and Adam met their senior year of college at East Stroudsburg University. They met on Halloween but really hit it off a couple of months later on Alexis’s birthday. Shortly before their five year anniversary Adam popped the question in Alexis’ childhood backyard. With the help of her family, Adam had the backyard transformed into the perfect proposal backdrop with candle votives hanging from the grape vines and scattered along every table top, as well as a trail of white rose petals from the gate to where he was standing. Now how’s that for a perfect proposal?! These two are such a sweet couple, and we are so excited to share a peek into their wedding day today!

The Wedding Day

On the day of their wedding, Alexis and Adam were excited but relaxed. They had plenty of time to prep for their wedding day so they knew they could sit back, relax, and enjoy it! When we arrived at Alexis’s childhood home to document her getting ready we were immediately greeted warmly by her friends and family. I loved hearing Italian being spoken throughout the house and seeing Alexis with her family, bridesmaids, junior bridesmaid, and flower girls! She has so many lovely ladies in her life but my favorite part of the morning was seeing her with her mother and sister. They both care so much about Alexis and did everything they could to make her day perfect! And perfect it was! Alexis looked stunning when she walked down the aisle to see Adam, who broke into a big smile as soon as he saw Alexis. Their ceremony was held at St. Theresa’s in Kenilworth, which is where I made my first communion, so I always love when I get to go back there. Wait until you see all the children during the processional – they were adorable and so well-behaved! The Roman Catholic ceremony was followed by a fun ribbon church exit before we headed to Westmount Country Club for photos and their reception. I love that Alexis and Adam made time during the evening for some additional photos in their gorgeous empty ballroom as well as night photos in the courtyard, too! Wedding days go by so fast, but these two made lots of time to stop and take it all in as much as they could. It’s so important that couples remember to do that on their big day, and these two did it right. Even after their official portrait session was done, they made the time to tour their empty ballroom together and let us capture those moments for them, and later on in the night they made time to go for a little night stroll during their reception, too! It was a beautiful day from start to finish! Alexis and Adam, congratulations you two! We are so excited for you guys to begin this chapter of your lives!! We hope you are enjoying your honeymoon in St. Lucia!
