St. Catharine’s Parish Wedding Bridget & Matthew

Weddings

Bridget and Matthew found me thanks to a wedding I shot several years ago where Matthew was a groomsmen. We actually ran into each other again a few years ago when I shot Bridget’s cousin’s wedding, and that’s when we heard about Bridget! I was so excited when they reached out about having me capture their wedding day. I always find it so wonderful when clients are connected in unique ways, and consider it an honor to be asked to work with them again for their big days.

Bridget and Matthew originally planned to get married and have their big celebration this year, but decided to postpone their reception until next year due to the pandemic. They still wanted to get married this year, though, and moved forward with their wedding on their original wedding date. They both got ready at the Molly Pitcher Inn with their parents and a few members of their bridal party. Bridget was lucky enough to have a couple of bridesmaids present, and a couple more tuning in on Zoom! It was so sweet of them to be “present” during prep as they took part in the morning through video chat.

When it came time for the ceremony, Bridget and Matthew chose St. Catharine’s Parish in Spring Lake, NJ. I always love shooting at this iconic Jersey Shore church, and what made it even more special this time was that Bridget’s uncle is a priest there. The ceremony was beautiful, and then we headed outside for some portraits at Divine Park and Spring Lake Beach.

Pink and blush flowers complemented the navy bridesmaid dresses and gray suits, and made for an elegant fall color palette that came to life. For the florals, Bridget chose beautiful roses, rananculus, lisianthis and freesias, a gorgeous combination. I also loved the shawls that Bridget’s bridesmaids had, and I know they loved them too because it was a pretty cold day – one of the coldest of the season so far. Luckily, they were all troopers, as you’ll see in the images below.

Bridget and Matthew, congratulations on your wedding! I’m so glad it worked out so beautifully for you and now you are officially husband and wife! Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your special day!!
