The new semester at WVU had started after winter break and Lisa was getting ready to pay her bar tab when a guy tapped her on the shoulder and started to make conversation. When he discovered she was from Jersey, he did what any man would do to make his way into a Jersey girl’s heart – he mentioned NJ bagels and pizza. Lisa and James dated through the rest of their time in graduate school and an eventual long-distance relationship between PA and VA led them to a NJ proposal on the boardwalk.
It rained the days leading up to their wedding day and it rained on the days following their big day, but on the day of their wedding, Lisa and James had nothing but blue skies. It was a perfect day for their beautiful nautical-themed wedding. They started their day at the Oyster Point Hotel where we loved discovering all the peach and navy details that our couple picked out to make their wedding day unique. I have to say that the stationery was so well thought-out! From the beautiful invitation to coordinating ceremony program to the matching table numbers, every detail was perfect! My favorite part of the day, though, was witnessing all the emotion experienced by Lisa, James, and their parents during the ceremony. There were so many happy tears!! Everyone was so excited to see our beautiful couple tie the knot and after a portrait session at Monmouth University, we headed to the Oyster Point Hotel for a fun night of celebrating and dancing. Lisa and James, thank you for allowing us to be a part of your day! We are so excited for you two to begin your lives together!! Enjoy your honeymoon in Italy and be sure to eat a gelato for us!
