Liz and Tom met thanks to their parents, who were friends all throughout Liz and Tom’s childhood and adulthood, too. They didn’t really connect until college, but when they did, it was truly special. These two were supposed to get married last year but, as the familiar story goes, they had to postpone their wedding due to COVID-19, and ended up waiting almost another year for their big day to arrive. When it finally did, it was beautiful!

Crossed Keys Estate Wedding

For their wedding, Liz and Tom chose Crossed Keys Estate in Andover, NJ.  They dreamed of an elegant wedding day with rustic details and this estate was a gorgeous spot for them to tie the knot! I love that they chose a light blue to compliment the greenery and neutrals around the space – it was the perfect combination! This was a new-to-me venue and so wonderful for me to discover. I love venues like this one that offer spacious getting-ready areas as well as beautiful and unique photo locations. Not to mention a charming ceremony space and a gorgeous ballroom for the reception.

My favorite part of the day was the confetti cannons at the end of Liz and Tom’s ceremony! The guests in charge of the cannons were probably a little nervous to operate them but they did great and the confetti was a huge hit! They made for some amazing first kiss photos and now I’m crossing my fingers that more of my weddings will include them, ha!

I also enjoyed seeing how family-centered Liz and Tom are. Their wedding party consisted of their siblings, siblings’ spouses, nieces, and nephew. It made for such a sweet group of people to work with! I also loved the speeches at their reception, especially Liz’s father’s speech who was able to make Tom’s late father feel present at the wedding. Such heartfelt moments!
