Last week I got to attend the Showit United conference out in Tempe, Arizona. It’s my favorite photography conference, focused on community in the most encouraging and intimate environment you could imagine. Last year when I attended Showit United 2016, I fully intended to blog about my wonderful experience there, but I found it impossible […]
Happy Summer, friends! Yesterday was the official start of the summer and we couldn’t be more excited! To kick off the summer we thought we’d share a few photos from another one of the stops during our honeymoon trip. It was one of the highlights of our trip and we have such fond memories of our […]
Every year, right around this time, Jay and I start getting the travel bug. We start dreaming of the new places we’d love to visit or the familiar places we’d like to re-visit. Today we’re reminiscing about Dubrovnik, Croatia, the first stop on our honeymoon adventure in the Western Balkans.
Today we’re sharing a few photos from one of Jay’s pre-Alex trips, back in 2005, with what at that point was a pretty advanced digital camera, the Olympus C-740 UltraZoom (3.2 megapixels with a “huge” 512 MB memory card hahaha).
This past June, Jay and I celebrated our two year anniversary! Since we didn’t do anything super special for our first year anniversary we decided that this time we’d celebrate with a trip to Paris.
These photos take me back to a moment in time when I truly felt like I was on foreign land, as far away from anything familiar to me as I could possibly get. The French call it dépaysement.
One of our favorite things to do when we travel is people watch. Jay and I always look forward to late afternoon ice cream at an outdoor cafe so we can watch people pass by, listen to foreign languages, and of course, snap photos of strangers.
Our travel series is back! Yay! And we promise you won’t have to wait almost a year for the next volume in the series! Jay and I are going to make a conscious effort to share more of our travel photos with you all this year.
Machu Picchu is one of the most amazing places that Jay and I have visited together. Even before we met, it had been at the top of both of our travel lists for a long time so we made sure we spent enough time there to fully explore the Lost City of the Incas.
Wow, I can’t believe this is already our 3rd post in this series… this spring sure is flying by! I hope it will slow down a bit, though, because May is my favorite month and I’d like to thoroughly enjoy it.
Last week we announced the start of our new travel photography project… check it out here if you missed it! This week we have two pictures taken by Jay in Rome last summer.
Welcome to our new travel photography project! As many of you know, Jay and I have always loved to travel. Before we met, we had both traveled a lot on our own and those travel experiences were definitely something that drew us to each other from the start.
