Nicole and Colin have known each other for quite some time. They actually went to prom together when they were in high school! Their wedding day was long-awaited and finally arrived last Saturday on a perfect summer day. Well, truth be told, it was hot, but it didn’t matter to these two and they were such troopers.
When I asked Nicole and Colin what they were envisioning for their wedding day, they told me all they really cared about was being together with their family and friends having an amazing time. Since they didn’t spend a lot of time dreaming up their wedding day before they got engaged, they had a lot of fun putting everything together as they went. Battleground Country Club wound up being one of the easier decisions they had to make! While visiting venues, Nicole told me that once they arrived at Battleground Country Club, they knew it was the one. It was extra special picking BCC because Nicole’s parents also celebrated their wedding there, 30 years ago!
Nicole and Colin decided on a fun color scheme of teal and silver. Nicole had hoped her bouquet would be filled with lisianthus, freesia, silver dollar eucalyptus, dusty miller, O’Hara roses and ranunculus to create the ideal summer bridal bouquet and she was not disappointed! All of the florals and decor for the day were beautiful.
Nicole started out the day at her parent’s home while Colin got ready at their own home before heading to their traditional Catholic ceremony at the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine in Freehold. After the ceremony we got a few photos in front of the church before driving to Battleground Country Club for the formal portrait sessions and reception and I’m so lucky that everyone was able to brave the heat because it was so worth it!
Nicole and Colin, congratulations on your wedding! Wishing you lots of joy, health and love in your marriage today and always. Enjoy this recap of your wedding day!
