Ali and John met at Horseshoe Tavern in Morristown watching a NY Giants Playoff game. Unfortunately, the Giants lost, but, as they say, “their hearts won forever” and now they are officially husband and wife! They were engaged at Christmas last year and planned their wedding in less than eight months – during a pandemic no less! It came together so beautifully last week.
Indian Trail Club Wedding Day
When Alison and John began to plan their NJ wedding day, they envisioned a simple and classic celebration along the waterfront. Indian Trail Club was a no brainer when it came to picking a venue! It was everything they wanted for their wedding day. With lots of white accents and pale pink and grey attire for their wedding party, Alison and John’s classic wedding day took shape.
Ali got ready at her parents’ lakefront house and I loved capturing the girls during bride prep out on the dock and even in her parents’ boat. It sure made for some unique images! While Ali got ready, shared a first look with her dad, and made it over to the venue, John got ready with the guys and had a relaxed morning. He had the best reaction when he saw Ali for the first time during their private first look. These two were just so joyful, it was wonderful to see. I’m so thankful they did decide to share a first look, because the weather changed completely during their ceremony and beginning of cocktail hour. If they hadn’t shared a first look, we wouldn’t have gotten nearly as many portraits as we did. You’ll see in the recap below how it went from a sunny day to cloudy and super windy and then back to beautifully sunny for early evening and golden hour. It was quite a day!
Ali and John, congratulations you two!! You did it! I hope you’re enjoying your honeymoon in St. Lucia. Your private couple’s suite with a plunge pool and butler service sounds dreamy. Enjoy the beautiful beach, good food and exploring the island as husband and wife!
