It’s here! Our biggest post of the year where we’re sharing a peek at some of our favorite wedding images from 2017! This year has been an amazing one for us, even if it didn’t start that way after my dad’s stroke last December. Luckily, when our wedding season rolled around in March, my dad was already doing much better and we were so happy to get back to capturing all the joy and love between our couples and their families! Our weddings this year were absolutely amazing, and we are so thankful to all of our wonderful couples for allowing us to document your beautiful wedding days! It is thanks to you that we have the privilege of doing what we love and playing a small role in one of the biggest days of your lives.
So… about this blog post! It was hard to go through all the thousands of images we captured this year but at this time of the year we just love reflecting and re-living all the incredible moments we have gotten to be a part of. This year we had the opportunity to capture weddings at some of our favorite NJ wedding venues such as Shadowbrook, Indian Trail Club, and Sandy Hook Chapel, which we shot at twice each! We returned to several venues that we have had the pleasure of going back to several times in the past few years, like Meadow Wood Manor and Westmount Country Club, and we also got to shoot out of state a few times! We shot our second wedding at the iconic St Patrick’s Cathedral in NYC, our second wedding at HollyHedge Estate in PA, and we had the pleasure of traveling to Vermont to capture a wedding at Castle Hill Resort. This year also introduced us to some beautiful new-to-us venues such as Pleasantdale Chateau, Bay Head Yacht Club, Windows on the Water at Frogbridge, The Manor, and we even got to shoot a wedding at the brand new Park Chateau Estate. Pluuuus we got to shoot the weddings of the siblings of three former brides and grooms! Thirty-one beautiful weddings (30 pictured here – one of our couples couldn’t be posted due to their jobs but we love them just as much!). What an amazing year!
When we look at these images we cannot help but be SO thankful. Before I left my teaching job last year to pursue photography full-time, we knew we needed to reach our booking goal before I made the leap, and it’s thanks to these couples who trusted us to document their day that I felt confident enough to finally make the leap to pursue my passion. I get teary-eyed just thinking about everything these weddings have meant to us, and the role that ALL of our couples play in allowing us to do what we love.
