The Couple

Natalie and Matt have known each other since the fourth grade! Their first date was to see the movie Titanic (which seems like a lifetime ago, right?) so you can imagine how long they’ve been waiting for their big day to arrive. We met Natalie and Matt thanks to Natalie’s sister who was a guest at a wedding we shot last year and from the moment we met them we loved how enthusiastic they were about their wedding day. They had fallen in love with Shadowbrook (one of our faves!) and were planning to take advantage of the estate and its grounds as much as possible. I can’t say I blame them one bit because it’s so pretty there! We just love the old world feel that complements classic and timeless weddings so perfectly.

The Wedding Day

Natalie and Matt got ready with their wedding party members at the Sheraton. The ladies were lucky enough to get ready in the 6th floor lounge, which is huge and has lots of natural light! If you follow us on IG, you may have seen me post about the location I got to work in for bridal details that morning. A photographer’s dream =) Natalie had the sweetest bridesmaids and flower girls! Once we arrived at Shadowbrook, Natalie got dressed in the newly renovated bridal suite and it was one of my favorite parts of the day. First of all, she had her two sisters help her and these three ladies together were just so sweet, funny, and entertaining all at once. They had the best vibe going on and I just loved getting an insight into their fun personalities.

Once Natalie was ready we headed out to the gardens for her first look and these two were just so excited to spend the rest of the day together. We captured them all over the gardens and finished the portrait session with bridal party and family photos. I love that we were able to get all the photos before the ceremony so that Natalie and Matt could enjoy their entire cocktail hour with their friends and families. These two did it right!
