Project 365 | January 2015

Personal

If you follow us on Instagram you’ve probably noticed that I started a Project 365 on January 1st! This is my fourth time documenting a year in photos but it’s the first time I’m posting it publicly and it’s been so much fun sharing it with so many people. I started my first Project 365 back in 2010 on the day that Jay and I got engaged and I completed over three consecutive years of daily pictures! Unfortunately, life eventually got in the way after that and I stopped making time for my daily photos and last year I hardly had any personal photos to document our year. So this year I’ve committed to the project again and I’m so glad I did! In one short month I already have 31 photos to remind me of this month’s special moments. I’ve found that photographing my everyday helps me be more creative and connecting with other Project365-ers has kept me inspired and motivated during our slow season. I’m not going to lie – a lot of factors contributed to a less than ideal month for documenting my life. Not only are we in the midst of a bunch of different projects (including some home ones!) but the winter weather hasn’t made it easy either. I was forced to get creative indoors a lot and I ended up taking nineteen photos inside our house this month. Next month I am going to challenge myself to embrace the cold and take more photos outdoors. Be sure to follow my Project 365 on Instagram @idaliaphotography or check out my hashtag at #idaliaphotography365. If you’d like to join in the fun be sure to let me know so I can follow your daily photos!
