The Couple

Courtney and Ryan met while they were in college at Monmouth University. They would inevitably cross paths whenever Ryan would visit his sister, Courtney’s roommate, and their friendship developed and ultimately led them to a MET Museum rooftop proposal! I love that Ryan chose the roof garden at this iconic NYC landmark because he wanted to propose somewhere where they could return to experience the moment whenever they wanted. Talk about romantic!

The Wedding Day

Courtney and Ryan’s wedding day was classic and elegant and their wedding style fit in perfectly with the decor of the Park Savoy Estate. I can’t imagine a more perfect venue for these two. As soon as we arrived that morning, I noticed all the beautiful neutral tones and soft colors of the bridesmaids dresses and bouquets. They were a perfect color for an early spring wedding, and looked stunning among the two-tone, midnight blue tuxes of Ryan and his groomsmen. Courtney’s bridal bouquet was wrapped in lace from her maternal grandmother’s wedding gown and secured with a pin from her paternal grandmother. Such sweet details! I loved Courtney and Ryan’s heartfelt ceremony, but one of my favorite parts of the day was their first dance to John Mayer’s “XO.” The lighting was just perfect, and Courtney and Ryan had one of the most romantic first dances I’ve ever witnessed. I love when couples have the dance floor to themselves during the entire first dance. It allows them to really slow down and enjoy a quiet moment to themselves, and Courtney and Ryan did just that. We’re so excited for these two to start their lives together! Courtney and Ryan, congratulations and best wishes for a lifetime of happiness, joy, and love!
