If you follow @idaliaphotographynewborns on FB and IG, you’ve likely seen this little guy pop up in your newsfeeds but I actually hadn’t blogged his session yet! This is Olivier! His parents found me through a google search and Olivier ended up coming to see me with his parents and big sister all the way from Queens. As you can imagine, I was quite flattered that his parents loved my work so much that they drove over an hour to have me photograph their new little boy. When they arrived, mom took her phone out to show me some photos on her phone that she loved and (confession time!) I got a little sad at first. I thought she was going to show me images that she had found on Pinterest that I wasn’t going to want to replicate. But, much to my surprise, the images that she had saved were all my work! I was so relieved, flattered, and happy!! A parent who loved my work so much that 1) it was exactly what she wanted for her baby and 2) she didn’t think twice about driving to Central NJ from Queens in order to work with me. I went from sad to just a little bit… nervous! So much pressure to make sure she was happy with the result!! And to make sure Olivier slept for all the posing, ha! Luckily, Olivier and his family were an absolute joy to work with and we were able to capture so many beautiful images of this little guy. He was such a good sleeper and he cooperated from start to finish. His big sister, Harper, was just as well-behaved and we got some adorable images of the two of them. Not to mention family photos, too! Here are just a few of my favorite images from our time together that day – enjoy!
