The Couple

Kristen and Alex met in college at Coastal Carolina University. Kristen says it was love at first sight! Alex played baseball at Coastal while Kristen was a cheerleader at all of his baseball games. After four years of dating, Alex planned the perfect proposal. They were at the home opener of college baseball at the brand new Coastal team stadium when Alex told Kristen that after the game, he had to go onto the field to take a picture for the program. It was a cold night and Kristen was only wearing a light sweater so she complained and tried to get out of the commitment. Of course, Alex did what any gentleman would do and went out of his way to buy Kristen a hot chocolate so that she would stay. Or maybe it was coffee, to Kristen’s disappointment… but he had been thoughtful, and so she stayed. Once the game was over, Alex and Kristen made their way to the baseball field, the very spot where so much of their relationship had unfolded. “Marry Me” started playing in the background at the very moment when Alex got down on one knee, surrounded by old teammates, friends, parents, and fans. Kristen was caught completely by surprise by Alex’s proposal!

The Wedding Day

When I think of a classic wedding in our area of the Jersey Shore, Kristen and Alex’s wedding is pretty much what comes to mind! They had a traditional church ceremony in Point Pleasant followed by photos in Spring Lake and a fun reception at Jack Baker’s Lobster Shanty. Kristen and Alex’s wedding day was a perfect example of the modern and timeless weddings that we love to photograph. Alex’s black tux was the perfect complement to Kristen’s romantic style and they made one stunning couple! These two newlyweds drew inspiration for their wedding from the NJ beaches that Kristen grew up by and Myrtle Beach, where they now reside. Seashells and starfish were complemented by teal and gold, colors representative of their alma mater. It was a beautiful wedding and we couldn’t be more excited to share a glimpse into their collection of wedding images.
